Hi, I'm Courtney

Im a local Colorado subspecies from the 1900's and collector of far too many cameras and hats.

When I was 15, I stumbled upon my high school's darkroom and was instantly hooked. Maybe it was the smell of fixer or the '70s rock my teacher always had on in the background. I remember it like yesterday when I printed one of my first photos and brought it to the teacher. He paused, looked at me and asked if I was signed up for level two. The spark was ignited.

Since then, photography has taken me many places and shaped my life in extraordinary ways. After spending a few years as a ski bum in Steamboat, I up and moved 2000 miles to study film at the University of Hawai'i. From there my love for film and darkrooms only grew.

I'm very serious about not taking things too seriously. I like to keep things candid, relaxed, and fly by the seat of my overalls. My approach is casual and calculated (well... mostly eyeballed), which is basically the same thing if you ask a Gemini.
